YouTube TV is increasing its monthly prices again for consumers.
The company said Thursday that it’s hiking its price for its service’s base plan by $10— citing "the rising cost of content" and other investments, the Associated Press reported.

Starting Jan. 13, existing subscribers and new customers will pay $82.99 per month. YouTube directed customers to an online FAQ for more information. Customers who currently pay discounted prices, for example, won't see the change until their trial or promotion has expired.
Citing YouTube, the AP reported that the company has over 8 million YouTube TV subscribers.
Has YouTube TV raised subscription prices before?
YouTube TV’s latest price increase is not the first time the streaming platform has done this.
In 2017, the streaming package was $35 a month and two years later, the cost climbed to $50 monthly in 2019. And YouTube TV raised its base price to $72.99 in 2023.

YouTube TV offers over 100 channels from broadcast, cable and regional sports networks, a DVR with unlimited storage and up to six accounts in each home with three streams. The streaming platform tells the AP that the new price increase won't change any of that.
Separately, other streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney+ have all either raised their prices or added things like ad-supported tiers and password limits.
