FORT WORTH, Texas - A sinkhole is still causing problems in Fort Worth.
The hole opened up Sunday at University Drive and Collinsworth Street, just south of Interstate 30, after a 6-inch water main ruptured.
The busy intersection flooded and an SUV was temporarily stuck in the sinkhole. The break also left 15 nearby businesses without running water. Some had to close for the day.
The water department stopped the flow of water but they had to locate the gas lines before they could start on repairs.
Crews worked well into the night. The sinkhole is now roped off and partially filled with gravel.
Two lanes of traffic around the hole remain closed. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
