New Christmas movies in theaters 2024

Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point – Nov. 8

The third theater release from Tyler Taormina, "Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point" is the story of "a rambunctious extended family descending upon their small Long Island hometown for the holidays," according to Rotten Tomatoes. The film stars Maria Dizzia, Matilda Fleming, Ben Shenkman and Michael Cera.

Best Christmas Pageant Ever – Nov. 8

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is the story of a volunteer who organizes her town’s annual Christmas pageant, and all the havoc she encounters along the way. It stars Judy Greer and is narrated by Lauren Graham. 

Red One – Nov. 15

This new Avengers movie stars Chris Evans, Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu and more as they go to the North Pole to rescue Saint Nicholas of Myra, played by J.K. Simmons. According to Deadline, the film features a humanoid polar bear and a Krampus character.

Our Little Secret – Nov. 27

"Our Little Secret" stars Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding. They play exes who discover their new significant others are siblings, forcing the two resentful exes to spend Christmas under the safe roof while hiding their past romance. 

Carry On – Dec.13

"Carry On" stars Taron Egerton as a TSA agent who is blackmailed into letting a mysterious package through security and onto a Christmas Day flight. Jason Bateman, Danielle Deadwyler, Sofia Carson and Theo Rossi also star in the film. 

Hot Frosty – Nov. 13

"Hot Frosty" stars Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan. Chabert plays Kathy, who lost her husband two years ago, and Milligan plays a snowman who’s transformed into a real man when Chabert places a magical red scarf around his neck. 

The Merry Gentlemen – Nov. 20

"The Merry Gentlemen" stars Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson. Robinson plays Ashley, who decides to produce a male Christmas revue to save her parents’ business and pay off their debt. 

Meet Me Next Christmas – Nov 6

"Meet Me Next Christmas" stars Christina Milian, Devale Ellis and Pentatonix. In the film, a woman is searching for a ticket to the sold out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert because a man she met in an airport a year earlier said they should meet up at that concert a year later.  

New Christmas movies on Disney+ and Hulu 2024

An Almost Christmas Story – Disney+, Nov. 15

This animated film from David Lowry is the story of a young owl named Moon who gets trapped in a Christmas tree that’s been selected for Rockefeller Plaza in NYC. Moon is voiced by Cary Christopher, and his friend Luna is voiced by Estella Madrigal. Other voice actors include Mamoudou Athie, Jim Gaffigan, Natasha Lyonne and John C. Reilly. 

Nutcrackers – Hulu and Disney+, Nov. 29

"Nutcrackers" stars Ben Stiller, whose character Mike is pulled away from his bachelor life in the big city to a rural Ohio farm to care for his four recently orphaned nephews. As the holidays approach, he discovers the big hearts behind the boys’ mischief. 

New Christmas movies on Prime Video 2024

Red One – Dec. 12

This new Avengers movie stars Chris Evans, Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu and more as they go to the North Pole to rescue Saint Nicholas of Myra, played by J.K. Simmons. According to Deadline, the film features a humanoid polar bear and a Krampus character. It’s going to Prime Video after its theater release on Nov. 15.
