DALLAS - A car hit an 18-wheeler in East Dallas early Monday morning after the driver said the brakes failed.
The car ended up under the rear of the semi-truck on Interstate 30 near Winslow Avenue around 2 a.m.
Firefighters had to cut the driver out. He was not seriously hurt and was able to tell deputies that his brakes had stopped working.
A passenger in the car and the driver of the 18-wheeler also were uninjured.
Sheriff’s deputies shut down parts of I-30 while they investigated.
All lanes are now back open.
