Amber Alert canceled after Texas teen abducted by registered sex offender found safe
DALLAS - The suspect and the 14-year-old at the center of an Amber Alert have been found Monday, authorities announced.
The Rains County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Justin Gray was arrested Monday afternoon in Mineral Wells. 14-year-old Lexus Gray was also found safe.
An Amber Alert was issued Monday after police say Lexus was abducted by Justin in the city of Point on Wednesday. She was believed to be in "extreme danger."
The sheriff’s office did not say if the two are related but said Justin is a registered sex offender and has an active parole violation warrant.
The two were believed to be in the Dallas or Mesquite area but were ultimately found in Mineral Wells.
