Texas Motor Speedway bans all smoking in grandstands

When race fans return to the Texas Motor Speedway this spring they’ll have to leave their electronic cigarettes at home.

TMS on Tuesday announced its grandstands will be completely smoke-free beginning with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 doubleheader in April.

Cigarettes have been banned at the speedway since 2013. Now, e-cigarettes and vaping devices will be included in the ban.

TMS said the new policy comes “as a result of strong feedback from guest surveys and the speedway’s fan council.”

Guests will still be able to smoke in designated areas on the lower concourse.
